Stock up on the forks, and get ready to let her rip. The doors are almost ready to open on the third season of FX’s The Bear set for a high-octane return to Disney+ in June.
Raved about by critics and fans alike since it first dropped in 2022, the gritty, award-winning show followed the path of passionate - but troubled - fine-dining chef Carmy, returning to Chicago to take over the family sandwich shop after the death of his brother.
Fans were left hanging at the end of season 2. Carmy - seemingly on the edge of breakdown - sat locked in the walk-in fridge on friends and family night at the new restaurant, with Sydney, Richie and the rest of the team left to grit their way through the first run in the new kitchen.
Now, as the new place, aptly named The Bear, is finally set to open, all ten episodes of season 3 will land on Disney+ on June 27.
Jeremy Allen White returns as the young troubled chef, battling grief, personal demons and the pressures of the kitchen, with Ayo Edebiri as Sydney, still by his side - driven by fear and desire to get that first Michelin star.
Joining them this season will be the familiarly chaotic all-star cast, including Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas and Matty Matheson. They’ve survived the debts, challenges and stress of the old restaurant. Now they’re looking to chase dining perfection.

Fans have been given a taste of what’s to come, with the recent full length trailer, which kicks straight into those intense kitchen relationships with Carmy’s “non-negotiables” already causing conflict, with his insistence that no repeat ingredients, vibrant collaboration and “confidence and competence” are, “how restaurants at the highest level operate”.
The season teaser also sees a return to the tumultuous relationship between Carmy and cousin Richie - previewing an escalating argument over bowl sizes, and Carmy’s passionate insistence that, “if it’s not perfect it doesn’t go out”.
Brutal in its honesty, and beautifully chaotic in its delivery - whether or not that Michelin star is on the cards for the staff of FX’s The Bear in 2024 - they won’t get there without tension, chaos and boiling tempers - held together by a young chef on the edge of losing it.
