It seems there’s nothing Aucklanders love to do more on a sticky evening than come together in confined spaces to drown themselves in collective creative energy. Whammy Bar on Karangahape Rd for the first Ones To Watch showcase of 2025, presented by One NZ and Live Nation, was no exception. Music lovers, industry insiders, and up-and-coming artists packed the venue, ready to witness the future of Aotearoa’s music scene live on stage.
The night carried a significance beyond the music: in honour of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, Ones To Watch partnered with WE Nation to spotlight rising wāhine talent, including Tāhuna-raised artist Blake, former The Voice star turned solo artist Ella Monnery and North Shore indie-rockers Where’s Jai.
Photographer Trinity Faith was there to capture some of the looks from artists and guests, before they headed downstairs to Whammy to enjoy the music from some of Aotearoa's emerging talent.
