The week in celebrity outfits, with Greta Lee, Simone Biles and Buffy

Our weekly look at the stunningly beautiful and beautifully ugly celebrity ensembles that set the group chat alight.

Greta Lee is the embodiment of cool, chic even in double denim. She wore this Loewe ensemble to celebrate the opening of the brand’s store, or ‘casa’ as they call it, in Seoul. The draped detail of the jeans really makes the look, but the styling is so easily copied — the tucked in shirt, matching denim wash, perfect belt and pointed black pumps. – Zoe Walker Ahwa

I am so sick of seeing photos of people holidaying in Europe, but I will never complain about pictures of Jodie Turner-Smith looking amazing. The actor is on my all-time best dressed hall of fame list, possibly even more now she’s broken up with Gucci and is mixing up her wardrobe choices more. Ensemble said in our NY predictions back in December that rosettes were going to be the new bows, and Jodie (we are on a first name basis, obvs) seems to agree in this incredible swimsuit. I’m also very grateful she tagged the brand; I just managed to spend a miserable rainy afternoon dreaming about new swimwear. I may not be a string bikini girlie but there’s some very chic one-piece options available also. – Rebecca Wadey

A matching white set screams ‘expensive’. Case in point, Nicole Kidman’s Valentino skirt and crop top that’s so crisp it almost looks like it’s made from paper. Also love that she’s at an Omega Olympics event, in her role as an Omega ambassador, but she didn’t post a photo showing off the watch. – ZWA

It's giving I came here to steal the show. And yep, Simone Biles deserves all the medals including best-dressed, for this Swarovski jewel encrusted (6,000 of them) star spangled leotard. Performing to surely the most star-studded crowd of the games (Lady Gaga, Tom Cruise, Anna Wintour and Ariana Grande were among the spectators) she has such incredible star quality (pun intended) that all eyes - and phones - were on her. We stan an Olympian in crystals. Ngā mihi and trés bien! - RW

I am obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, aka Sarah Michelle Gellar, and I’ve always respected the under the radar way she lives, and what she shows on her socials. So it was with real surprise I saw she’s been showing off some great ‘fits on there lately. It makes sense, she’s slated to star in the Dexter prequel and to mark the occasion she’s tapped stylist Tara Swennen (who has styled some of my favourite Kristen Stewart looks) for her promotional appearances. I know Dolce & Gabbana is a problematic brand but I can’t deny how cute this lace number is on her. I love the collar and the under garments which are somehow both naughty and modest at the same time. – RW
