Effortlessly chic wine brand Rosie has paired with the incomparably cool makeup talents of Louise Rae and Yelena Bebich for the perfect fuss-free get together with friends.
A newcomer to the NZ market just in time to create lasting memories for the summer, Rosie was created to take the stress out of choosing a wine to share with friends. It’s fun, accessible, effortless and approachable - just like Lou and Yelena.
Acclaimed makeup artists Louise Rae and Yelena Bebich have had long, illustrious careers in the beauty industry, from backstage at international fashion weeks, touring with big-name musicians through to working with some of our biggest local stars.
The two friends set up their own business in 2019 to offer lessons, group events and special occasion artistry (think weddings with the ultimate wraparound care) that embrace their attitude of finding beauty in simplicity. Whatever the touch point, the Y&L Beauty philosophy is the same: joyful, colourful, confidently imperfect yet stylishly chic. “We believe in effortlessly polished beauty,” the duo explained to Rosie and Ensemble.
They sat down with us, over a bottle of Rosie, to share time saving hacks that ensure we can put less energy into getting ready so we have more time to spend with friends, whānau and loved ones in and around the beautiful landscapes of Aotearoa this raumati (summer).
Top tip for getting ready to go out, for the time poor, so you can have more fun creating lasting memories with friends?
Concentrate on your skin, brows and lashes. Anything else (like colour on your eyes or cheeks) is a bonus - and dry shampoo is a must.
Quick beauty hack?
We love fresh and effortless makeup; our favourite products are those which work hard and have multiple uses, like Stila National Treasure lip and cheek palette. Simply dab your fingers onto the product and apply to your cheeks. It blends into your skin so effortlessly and gives you that ultimate fresh, dewy cheek. Then press whatever’s leftover into the centre of your lip for a pop of colour.

Definitely something upbeat! Dua Lipa is always on our playlist. We also love old school 90s hip hop, or we switch gears to our other fave lady Stevie Nicks.
